At the beginning of every summer sports which name begins with BEACH are more and more numerous.
However is the beachvolley that upsetted all the habits of the sports on the beach. Serves, baghers, walls, squeezes, desperate plunges, with the purpose to rescue the ball, take on a special mean among clouds of sand and pearls of sweat.
In this way beachvolley has become the principal sport on the Adriatic coast, in particular in Rimini where every |
bathing establishment is equipped with a regular field behind the bathing huts.
It is played wearing bathing costume and t-shirt, even if, the official uniform prescribes short trousers. On the contrary that traditional volley the player can hold the ball in his hands for a few fractions .
Dimensions of the field: 9 x 9metres.
Highest of the net:2.43metres. (men) 2,24 metres (women)
Composition of the squares: from 2 to 3 players
Play with a ball more deflated than that of the traditional volley and made with chamois leather.
Characteristics: it stimulates the whole musculature with great energetic waste.
